Membership FAQ

SAMBA memberships are an annual subscription billed through PayPal. The current price is shown on the membership form below when you sign up, and your dues go directly to building and maintaining mountain bike trails in Spartanburg and the Upstate of South Carolina.

Members get a Trek Store gift card to get started, 10% off parts, accessories, and clothing at participating local bike shops, access to the SAMBA tent at events, an invitation to the annual SAMBA Christmas party, weekly and weekend group rides and socials, and access to the members-only group chat where rides are coordinated.

No. SAMBA welcomes riders of every ability, from first-timers to racers. Our group rides are organized by pace and skill level, and our trails include beginner-friendly options like Duncan Park as well as more challenging singletrack.

SAMBA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Membership dues fund trail tools, materials, signage, and equipment rental for trail days. It takes roughly 17 memberships to rent one piece of equipment for a single trail day, so every membership directly keeps the trails open and rideable.
