More Trail Work

Trail Work | 2025-01-30| Written By: Bruce Humphries

If you have been out to Southside lately, you may have noticed that things look a little different. Since Helene, a major amount of work has been done by our trail work group. Most all of our trails are back open, with only the last section of the Southside Flats from Flat Pass to High and Dry< not being able to be salvaged.

We have had to make some changes to some trails. Ferngully has a short re-route to get around a large blown down tree. This may change if the trail group gets in and can remove the tree without too much danger. Southside loop has multiple re-routes, but all of them have been thought out and seem to be getting rode in really well.

Lizard Trail was cleaned up even more today (Wednesday 29-2025) to open the trail width up more and allow for more line of sight.

I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the trails. We will be doing some organized group trail work this spring. We are going to have a strategic plan so that we get into a rotation of taking care of small details so we all can ride more and not think about having to always work on the trails.
