Croft State Park

Croft State Park is the heart of mountain biking in Spartanburg. Just minutes from downtown, the park holds SAMBA's largest stacked-loop trail system, with flowing singletrack winding through hardwood forest, around the lake, and along old roadbeds. It is the go-to spot for everything from a quick after-work lap to a long weekend ride, and it hosts SAMBA's annual Stump Jump race.

What to expect

The trails at Croft are predominantly cross-country with rolling climbs, fast descents, and a mix of smooth flow and rooty, technical sections. Riders can link loops together for a short spin or a big day in the saddle. Beginners can stick to the mellower loops while stronger riders chain everything together.
