Building and maintaining mountain bike trails takes more than hand tools. SAMBA keeps a stock of trail-building equipment, from McLeods and rogue hoes to powered gear for bigger projects, so volunteers and trail stewards across Spartanburg and the Upstate of South Carolina have what they need to keep our trails in great shape.
How it works
- Equipment is reserved for approved SAMBA trail workdays and projects on the trails we steward.
- Tell us the trail, the date, and what you are planning so we can match you with the right gear.
- A SAMBA trail coordinator will follow up to arrange pickup, drop-off, and any training needed.
New to trail work? You do not need any experience to pitch in. Join a scheduled trail workday and we will provide the tools and show you the ropes. To support the program, you can also donate or become a member.
